Donated Keyboards Offer Kids Chance to Learn
Thanks to our generous donors, we're able to offer special programs in our Family Dining Room, such as teaching children from the Dream Center how to play piano. Using donated keyboards, St. Vincent de Paul volunteers have been giving piano lessons to students who may not otherwise have had this kind of opportunity. For example, Oscar has been taking lessons for three years now and we recently caught up with him for an update. He shared how learning to play the piano has impacted his life, and then played a beautiful rendition of Beethoven's "Fur Elise." We are so proud to watch the progress of the children in our Dream Center and want to thank all the wonderful volunteers and donors who work so hard to make this program possible!
A year ago we shared a video from our Dream Center with clips of Oscar learning how to play the piano. Watch this video to see how far he's come!
