Set to serve 4,000 Easter Day meals
Amid the celebration of Easter Day on March 31st, St. Vincent de Paul is preparing to make the holiday special for those with no home and no place to turn for a hot meal. The nonprofit is set to serve 4,000 Easter meals on Sunday inside its charity dining rooms for individuals experiencing the harsh realities of homelessness.
Guests will enjoy pineapple glazed ham, red potatoes, seasonal vegetables and dinner rolls prepared by SVdP's central kitchen.
“We want anyone who finds themselves in need, to partake in the warmth of our table this Easter,” said Adam Young, Director of Food Services. “Beyond just a hot meal, we hope to offer a space where every person feels nourished in body and soul.”
Former NFL great Nick Lowery will host his traditional Champions for the Homeless event at SVdP’s downtown Phoenix Dining Room, which always includes live music and high-profile volunteers.
If you or someone you know needs an Easter meal, please join us! All are welcome.
