More than 20 years ago, as our organization was preparing to move into its brand new main campus, the medical professionals and volunteers behind SVdP's small-scale free community clinic had to decide whether to recreate the original clinic model, try to establish a further-reaching medical and dental clinic, or stop providing this service altogether. Determined, the group set out to find resources to build a bigger clinic, better suited to meet the needs of the community.
The new clinic opened its doors in April of 1994. Since then, it has continued to grow and last year provided more than 17,000 visits and $4.2 million of market value services.
