Offering a thousand thanks for 2025
One of the greatest privileges of serving in Arizona is being able to work with a generous community of people who care about the well-being of our state. We are filled with hope and gratitude as we see our community rally and unify through a shared commitment to serve and to care about one another.

There's a million reasons to love Salad and Go
When Salad and Go started donating salads to SVdP during the COVID pandemic, they thought it would take a lot longer than five years to hit one million salads donated. It just goes to show how steadfast of a partner Salad and Go has been for half a decade. Their support helps alleviate the hard work it takes to make 5,000 meals every day while also providing nutritious options, and they taste pretty great too. Thank you so much for your partnership, Salad and Go!
Xavier College Prep collects over 1 million pounds of nonperishable food
Between the food directly donated and the money they raised, the staff and students of Xavier College Prep have donated 1 million pounds of food to SVdP’s Food Reclamation Center over the course of the year! That’s hundreds of families who don’t have to worry about what they’re going to eat for dinner. Thank you to the students showing immense maturity and the staff who facilitate all that goes on there, you’re helping SVdP change lives!
Thunderbirds Charities is devoted to preventing homelessness
The best way to stop homelessness is to keep it from happening in the first place; that’s why Thunderbirds Charities has trusted SVdP with a grant of $500,000 to support our Homelessness Prevention program! The program helps families and individuals who need one-time financial help to keep from being evicted from their home. This keeps people off the streets, in their homes, and keeps kids from having to undergo the trauma of that process. Thank you to Thunderbirds Charities for helping their community stay in their homes.
$250K - $499K in generosity
United Healthcare cares about the body and the home
SVdP’s Homelessness Prevention program works tirelessly to keep families and individuals in their homes and off the street. That’s why United Healthcare gave $300,000 to the HP program! By providing one-time support for those in a financial crisis, the HP program keeps people, and especially children, from experiencing the trauma of eviction. Thank you, United Healthcare!
APS helps individuals find new homes or stay in the homes they've always known
Thank you to APS for the generous $300,000 grant to support SVdP's homelessness prevention and transitional housing programs. The transitional housing programs at SVdP give individuals a devoted bed, a safe environment, three meals every day, and case management to get back on their feet and into stable housing. Additionally SVdP's Homelessness Prevention program keeps individuals in their homes in the first place by providing one-time financial support to those at risk of eviction. Thank you, APS, for supporting your community and helping our neighbors find new homes or stay in the ones they already know.

Challenge Cup supports families in need!
Thank you so much to Challenge Cup, who hosted an event on April 14, which generated more than $200,000 to support families served by SVdP. This is in addition to the $200,000 matching gift campaign they led in December to help families avoid eviction and stay stable in their homes. We're so grateful for their generous and long-time support, we couldn't do it without partners like you!
The Del E. Webb Foundation and BHHS Legacy Foundation are helping us heal more in need
Two amazing partners have helped SVdP renovate its medical clinic! Thank you to the Del E. Webb Foundation, which gave $250,000 to the project, and the BHHS Legacy Foundation, which gave $130,000. We couldn't have done it without you! The renovation will result in four additional exam rooms, bringing the clinic to a total of 16 and increasing patient capacity by about 30%.
The reimagined clinic space awakens our vision of offering expanded services for the current gaps in specialty care that are important to our patients. With specialty eye care being the No. 1 need, and mental and behavioral care services often requested, this funding solidifies our next steps forward in partnering with organizations and individuals who can offer these services. Thank you again, Del E. Webb Foundation and the BHHS Legacy Foundation!
The Arizona Diamondbacks step up to help during SNAP disruption
During our emergency food distribution organized to support the families affected by the reduction in SNAP benefits, the Arizona Diamondbacks generously gave $50,000 to help support the effort and kick off our Turkey Tuesday drive with 12News and AJ's Fine Foods, Bashas' and Food City!
This gift came in the midst of so much more generosity from the D-Backs, who have supported SVdP for years and have recently given a $200,000 gift with their patch sponsor, AVNET, for for the First-Generation Scholarship Program, as well as a gift of $125,000 for homelessness prevention. Thank you, D-Backs, for your immense generosity and showing your community care for multiple impactful programs at SVdP.

Sunflower Bank held a charity golf tournament to support health care for the uninsured
Our 6th Annual Spring Golf Classic Tournament hosted alongside our lead sponsor, Sunflower Bank, was a huge success, thanks to everyone who came out in support! Together, we raised over $150,000 to benefit SVdP’s medical and dental clinics, where uninsured and underinsured patients find help, healing, and hope. We may have lost a few golf balls, but what mattered most was coming together to make a meaningful difference in our community!
SRP supports SVdP space of common ground
Thank you so much to the Salt River Project (SRP) for supporting SVdP's mission of offering those who need help and those who can offer it a place of common ground. SRP awarded a $150,000 grant to SVdP for the nonprofit's Center for Purpose, Hope, and Mission. The grant will be distributed over three years and go toward SVdP's vision of creating a space for community members, volunteers, Vincentians, and SVdP staff to come together, learn, and work toward community solutions for some of Arizona's toughest challenges.

Huge shoutout to Desert Financial Credit Union for committing more than $80,000 to SVdP to support our work in feeding our neighbors during the holidays! All the funds supported SVdP's holiday efforts, like buying food and turkeys for families. Thanks to the generosity of Desert Financial, thousands of families are going to be able to enjoy this holiday season to the fullest. Thank you so much to Jeff Meshey and the Desert Financial Credit Union team!

The Board of Visitors helps bring healthcare to women in need
Thank you so much to the Board of Visitors for generously giving $40,000 to support women's health at SVdP's Virginia G. Piper Medical Clinic. Women without insurance can have extreme difficulty gaining access to women's health and seeing a women's health care professional. This support makes sure that dozens of women get the specialized care they need.
Thank you for giving this Arizona Gives Day!
Thank you to everyone for not fooling us and making April 1 an incredible Arizona Gives Day for SVdP. We raised over $35,080, which will help SVdP's Homelessness Prevention team keep more neighbors in need off the streets and in their homes. You're the best community we could ask for!
Valley of the Sun United Way prevents homelessness for 14 households
SVdP is honored to be Valley of the Sun United Way grant recipients! Thanks to a generous $30,000 grant, SVdP helped 14 households, or 34 individuals, stay safe and housed. Those aren't just numbers; they're families with roofs over their heads, children sleeping in their own beds, and vulnerable individuals spared from homelessness! Thank you, Valley of the Sun United Way, for making a difference in our community!
Barron Lighting lights the way
SVdP sends out a huge thanks to Barron Lighting for donating the time, labor, and materials to install new high-efficiency LED lights throughout our shelters, warehouse, and Phoenix Dining Room facilities. SVdP prides itself on providing dignified spaces of service, and the new lighting helped brighten up and improve the atmosphere in key areas. Barron Lighting's generosity also saved SVdP hundreds of thousands of dollars (and will continue to help SVdP save because of the low energy use of the LED lights). Thank you, Barron Lighting, for helping us "keep the lights on" and supporting the operations of our mission. Nationwide helps SVdP with day-to-day operations
SVdP has dozens of programs affecting every aspect of the community. That’s why donations to the general fund are especially important — they can be allocated anywhere that needs it. That’s why we want to give a special shoutout to Nationwide Insurance for donating $25,000 to the general operations fund this year. The support will help all operations and programs across SVdP do what they do best: Change lives every single day.
ACF helps shelter guests keep their animals close and healthy
A huge shoutout to ACF, which gave SVdP a $20,000 animal welfare grant for our Companion Animal Program (CAP). Their donation supports the program’s work of serving our human guests through their furry friends by keeping them healthy, well-fed, and assisting with any other animal-related needs that arise through a shelter stay. Thank you so much, ACF, for keeping man with his best friend!
En Familia Medios collected 17,600 pounds of food!
With your donations and the efforts of En Familia Medios, the community collected over 17,600 pounds of food this year for SVdP! The food goes directly to SVdP's Food Reclamation Center for distribution and to help the nonprofit's kitchen cook up 5,000 hot meals daily for its charity dining rooms and the nearly 500 individuals SVdP shelters every night. Thank you so much, En Familia Medios, for keeping our community fed and healthy.
Disable American Veterans (DAV) supports our homeless vets
Thanks to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), which has supported Ozanam Manor’s veteran beds with a $17,000 gift this year! This is in addition to similar support the last few years. Ozanam Manor’s veteran beds are devoted to those who have served in the armed forces and gives them full access to all the other life-changing resources at Ozanam Manor, such as three meals every day, dignified hygiene facilities, and case management to work toward a stable housing situation. Thank you, DAV, for making this rehousing work possible!
Firehouse subs is making sure our staff and volunteers will be safe in an emergency
A huge thank you to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, their partnership with Arizona Public Service - APS and our local Firehouse Subs restaurant in Phoenix, for awarding us seven Zoll Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and accessories valued at $16,487! These AEDs will help us respond swiftly in cardiac emergencies, ensuring the safety of those we serve and those that serve with us. 😃👏
Sunland Asphalt and Construction is keeping food on the table
A huge thank you to Sunland Asphalt and Construction for organizing a successful donation drive for St. Vincent de Paul! Their efforts brought in more than $10,000 for food — that’s over 6,000 pounds of food, enough to fill 123 family food boxes! Even more meaningfully, members of their team personally delivered the check to us. This gift will go a long way in supporting Arizona families facing food insecurity, especially as the summer heat sets in and the need rises.
