Give water to save lives this summer!
This summer, St. Vincent de Paul will hand out an estimated 3,000 bottles of water each day to people seeking refuge and services during Arizona’s most intense heat. That totals 23,000 bottles every week.
Meeting that need takes more than good intentions. While SVdP often purchases water in bulk, spending over $3,000 a week, it’s the generosity of our community that helps keep the supply flowing.
That’s why ABC15 and The Spot Arizona 61, in partnership with Bashas’, AJ's Fine Foods, and Food City are once again joining forces for the ABC15 Water Drive, happening June 1 to June 30, to support SVdP and ensure no one goes without this basic but vital resource.
How to Donate:
- Online any time at stvincentdepaul.net/water.
- At the register of your local Bashas’, AJ's Fine Foods, or Food City throughout the month of June.
- Donate cases of water at SVdP thrift store locations.
- Call to give via the phone bank airing June 18 on ABC15.
$10 = 58 bottles
$20 = 116 bottles
$50 = 290 bottles
$100 = 580 bottles (A day's worth of water for SVdP's water truck)
All monetary donations will go toward purchasing water for SVdP guests.
Without the water donations on which SVdP water relief depends, people in need risk dehydration or worse – heat related illness that can quickly turn deadly. In 2025, Maricopa County Department of Public Health recorded 430 confirmed heat-related deaths, a decrease from the 608 deaths in 2024.

The ABC15 Water Drive is a simple way for our community to show up for one another, whether it’s donating at Bashas’, Food City, or AJ’s Fine Foods, or giving online. Every bottle is lifesaving and often opens the door to connecting someone with the support they need to move forward.”
