Give out food at our drive-thru community food distribution

What is it all about?

Nearly one million individuals experience food insecurity in Arizona. Hunger and lack of nutrition take an emotional and stressful toll on individuals and families. When they receive assistance with food and grocery bills, it allows them to stretch their budgets to help with housing stability and other essential needs. On the second and fourth Saturday of the month, St. Vincent de Paul runs a community food distribution that operates like a drive-thru giveaway to help get food to individuals in the community who may not necessarily partake in or qualify for other SVdP programs. Anyone in the community can come to get free food to fill their pantries and take off the stress of grocery bills while also preventing excess food from going to waste. In the first year of the program, we distributed nearly 300,000 pounds of food to families and individuals in need.
